CHIN CHIN

CHIN CHIN
Chin chin is a snack that originated from Nigeria, it's crunchy and deep fried, it's ideal for all type of occasions , quite easy to make, the only problem I encounter is stopping myself from eating them all up before I finish frying.

Recipe
•Prep time: 30minutes
•Cook time: 15minutes
•Total time: 45minutes

Utensils
• Rolling Pin
• A Clean Board, table or Smooth Flat Surface
• A Frying Pan or pot
• A Medium Sized bowl
• A Sharp Knife

Ingredients
Flour 3kg
Butter 750g
Sugar 80g - 90g
Eggs 6
Nutmeg 1
Milk flavor 3 tablespoonfuls
Real milk as desired
Baking powder 3 tablespoonfuls
Salt 1/2 teaspoon levelled
Vanilla flavor 1 tablespoon
Vegetable oil (deep frying)

PROCEDURE 

  1. Sieve your measured flour into a dry bowl.
  2. Add the baking powder, salt,vanilla flavor, salt, nutmeg, milk, into the measured flour, and mix together.
  3. Make a hole in the middle and pour in your whisked egg and mix together very well.
  4. Make a hole in the Centre, gradually pour water with the help of one hand to form a hard dough,then knead cover the bowl with a tray and allow to rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle little flour on the table, cut some portion from the dough, put on the table and roll with the help of your rolling pin, roll flat, then use a knife or pizza cutter to cut into your desired shape, most people prefer square shape.
  6. Place your frying pan or pot on the fire, add vegetable oil, when hot, fry to golden brown.
