MY INABILITY TO SAVE

Overtime I've discovered that I lack the ability to save or better still let me put it this way, the temptations of the world hinders my ability to save. I have tried so many methods and various ways of saving, I remembered saving money in between books, it worked just fine for the first three days, till my classmate bought coconut candy, I asked for a little, she called me BEGGI BEGGI, I ran home took my savings and spent it all, yeah I enjoyed the coconut candy alone, after all its my money and my savings.
Since we all now know how the in between books saving my money method went, I decided to start keeping it with my friend so I won't be tempted, I gave her a stern warning that on no account should she give me the money until the end of the term, then KITO slippers was in vogue, if you did not own one you just weren't there yet, I ran straight to her house to collect my money, to make everything worse, she was wearing her KITO slippers and I wasn't, I asked her for my money she refused giving me, I begged her she still refused, I also told her lies just to get it from her she stood her ground and refused, until after threatening to report her to her parents for things she did in school, she returned my money like magic, please this can not be tagged as blackmailing it's my money na, after all I have to be among the happening girls in school.
Then came the era of saving box, I got one and started saving again, I did pretty well, although the money comprised of my money, my mum and dad's change from errands, my brothers money I took from their pocket, it's not stealing o, it's collecting my brothers money and saving it, I was walking along a street one beautiful day like that and saw this lovely matching dress and head band, Hmmmmmm I broke the safe to get the money to buy the dress.
I finally opened a bank account when I gained admission, I thought of all the money I would save, i will build a big house, Buy a car, get one for my dad, another for my mum, I might buy one for my brothers for them to share, I try na, after all its an account I can save any amount of money I can with it, first and second semester was great I saved a substantial amount of money, I was proud of my self, until the evil spirit came again, DEBBY BUY PHONE, YOU KNOW, YOU NEED A NEW PHONE, BUY PHONE DEBBIE, remember in the bible how Jesus christ rebuked the devil and over came temptation, yes I am not Jesus, am debby I got the phone, and I loved it, until the real owners (robbers) took it from me, that I was not using it well.

Have you ever tried saving and did not succeed? Or you are like me that can't resist temptation? I would love to know about your experience in the comment section

  2. Sieve the flour into another bowl, add the nutmeg or cinnamon, baking powder and salt then gradually add them into the mixture, also add the flour and the whisked eggs to format an average dough, roll out on a flat table and cut into different shapes.
  3. Grease the oven tray, place the dough and bake for 20 to 30 minutes to a light golden brown.

BE LIKE THE 500 NARIA NOTE

Two important management lessons i learnt from a 500 Naira note.
It happened some time ago.

  1.  I was in an audience listening to a motivational speaker, The speaker got out his wallet and pulled out a 500 Naira note, holding it up, he asked, "Who wants this 500 naira note?" Lots of hands went up. Including mine, a slow chorus began to build as people began to shout "Me!" "Me!" I began to wonder who the lucky one would be who the speaker would choose, and I also secretly wondered (and I am sure others did too ) why he would simply give away 500 naira, Even as the shouts of "I want it" grew louder, I noticed a young woman running down the aisle. She ran up onto the stage, went up to the speaker, and grabbed the 500 naira note from his hand. "Well done, young lady," said the speaker into the microphone. The speaker simply said "Most of us just sit and wait for good things to happen, that's of no use. You've got to make things happen, make a move" 'Simply thinking about doing something is of no use and not good enough'. Our lives are like that, we all see opportunities around us, we all want the good things, but the problem is we don't take action. We all want the 500 naira notes on offer, but we don't make the move. We look at it longingly, get up, and do something about it, don't worry about what other people might think. Take Action.
  2. Later, the speaker got another 500 naira note and held it up for all to see, I thought I knew what's up. But he just asked a simple question. "How much is this worth?" "Five Hundred naira!" the crowd yelled in unison. "Right," said the speaker. He then took the note and crumpled it into a ball and asked "How much is it worth now?" "Five Hundred naira!" screamed the audience, he then threw the note on the ground, stamped all over it and picked up the note and asked one more time: "And how much is it worth now?" "Five Hundred naira!" was the response. "I want you to remember this," said the speaker. "Just because someone crumples it, or stamps on it, the value of the note does not diminish. We should all be like the 500 naira note.. In our lives, there will be times when we feel crushed, stamped over, beaten. But never let your self-worth diminish. Just because someone chooses to crush you -- that doesn't change your worth one bit!

Don't allow your self-worth to diminish because someone says something nasty -- or does something dirty -- to you."
Never let your self-worth diminish

PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPOSAL!!!!!!

I love going out sometimes alone , you may call me a loner, but I love it, it gives me the opportunity to sit and reflect on the things happening around me. This time around my mind had taken me back to my friend's gran ma burial ceremony I attended, just thinking and re-laughng at the silly jokes or things that happened, when a loud scream brought me back to reality, OH MY GOD, I DO, I DO, I WILL MARRY YOU MY LOVE, trust me, the amebo in me woke up from sleep, I just had to find out what was making the lady scream, she was been proposed to by her boyfriend and obviously soon to be husband, she was jumping and crying and jumping and hugging and kissing(spoilt children like that) people were there snapping, saying congratulations and all, don't get me wrong, I was happy for her, but a public proposal??? Is like a NO NO for me to an extent tho.

Oga what of I don't love you enough to get married to you?

What if I was initially planning to break up with you?

I remember watching a YouTube video, where the man got on his knees in a mall to propose to his girlfriend, with songs dancing, emotional outburst, and she said No then walked out on him, I felt terrible for him, he would have avoided the whole public disgrace by doing it privately, dinner for two, flowers and all, at least if she says No it will be between the two of you.

Different people with their preference, bros at least if you are going to do it publicly, make sure my make up is on fleek, I don't want to look like Agbasa juju, my nails perfectly done, you can't propose to me after I just finished eating Banga and starch, and yes before I forget to add this, a good photographer, you know our kids needs to see how daddy proposed to mummy on his knees( very important, no standing allowed, your knees are not paining you) with tears in his eyes (it's compulsory, very compulsory, if you like use onions to rub your eyes, I must see tears o), or you will do it again.

I would love to know which of them you prefer
